Description
History: Victorian slides were not originally used as links in bracelets but as slides on watch chains. As fashions changed and pocket watches were replaced by wrist watches the slides were removed from the chains and strung on bracelets, sometimes one row and sometimes two. The slide bracelet became popular again in the 1930’s when there was a retrospective of Victorian jewelry styles. Listing is for 14k yellow gold slide bracelet set with 4 gem set slides. Stamped 14k on both sides of clasp. Measures 6 1/2" length. Total weight 9.5g. Slides: 1 moon shaped gemstone with 2 blue-green stones, 1 detailed slide with turquoise stone, 1 detailed slide with red stone and 1 detailed slide with light blue stone (looks like aquamarine but not sure). Clasp looks like a slide too with opal stone. All of the slides are marked 14k except the moon. They also have other hallmarks I can't read. To me slide bracelets are like wearing a piece of history on your wrist. They are so unique. Remember that the slides themselves are probably from the victorian era. Please do not purchase this bracelet unless you have at least 20 positive feedback ratings. Sales tax is charged based on individual state laws. All of my items are shipped USPS, insured with signature required.
